Your first purchase with STAMP
To activate your account, all you need is:
✔ Email or WeChat account
✔ Passport details
✔ Credit/debit card for the VAT guarantee
VAT Guarantee: Total Security
STAMP places a pre-authorization of the VAT on your card, but:
No amount is charged; the funds stay pre-authorized in your account.
Your bank may send you a notification about the pre-authorization.
It is automatically released once the invoice is approved by customs.
4. Customs validation: Just the essentials
When you leave the EU:
Go to the official customs office within 90 days.
Make sure your purchases are unused and ready for inspection.
With STAMP, there's no need to go through private refund offices.
If you leave the EU from a different country rather the one you did the purchase you need to:
Present the invoice in paper format at the customs.
Send us a clear image of the validated invoice.
5. Invoice validation status
Invoice approved: STAMP will notify you and the pre-authorization will be cancelled.
Invoice rejected: If customs validation is not obtained, the VAT amount will be charged.
